Location, location, location
It’s been an exciting 3 months transitioning to my new abode. I live now in Rotorua, not far from the Agrodome. What an amazing place for people who’d like a farm atmosphere with on-site wedding breakfast facilities. https://www.agrodome.co.nz/events-and-venue-hire/
Marry in a bamboo grove
Hana Lodge, https://www.hanalodge.co.nz/, is close by, and provides a peaceful setting for you to elope to, or have a family wedding with all the extras.
Just around the corner from me, in a semi-rural setting is Parkside, https://www.parksideboutiquelodge.com , very popular with overseas guests so if you’d like to get married there and stay over you’d have to be planned ahead, especially in summer! It’s very niche, with lovely hostess Jenny.
In Fairy Springs area is another luxury stay where I’ve thoroughly enjoyed a 5 course gourmet meal as we enjoyed the vista of the lake and Mokoia Island. https://www.onthepoint.co.nz/ offers a chapel for the ceremony if you’d like an exclusive, elegant option for your wedding.
If you’re looking for a more relaxed and economical option to get married you could find many locations here in Rotorua, and in Taupō, where there are water views, riverside parks, steamy pools (Kuirau Park is lovely and requires booking through Rotorua Lakes council), or panoramas from a hillside. Maybe you’d just like to marry on my deck!
Of course there are many choices for boat trips to various destinations.
I am familiar with many local locations and booking needs. If you’d like me to be more than a celebrant for your wedding and require advise or my services to put together a package, get in touch. I’m here to help! Your wedding day, no matter how lavish or laid back, is important to me, making it the day you wish to remember fondly for a long time into your future together.
